Correct. Live view and motion alerts work on your phone with no memory card and no monthly fee. Add your own microSD card if you want to record and replay clips locally.
Is a microSD card included? +
No — but you don't need one to use the camera. It watches and alerts live via the app out of the box. A card (up to 128GB) adds local clip recording and playback.
Can I use it as a renter, without drilling? +
Absolutely — that's one of the main reasons it exists. The 3M adhesive mount requires no drilling and leaves no damage. Take it with you when you move.
Will it spam me with false alerts? +
No. AI human detection means you're only alerted when a person is detected — not for passing cars, cats, rain or shadows.
